Terrance’s heart is full. He’s honored beyond words to be part of this important evening and annual charity event supporting the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Foundation. He will performing as a featured artist with Reggie Toussaints bad a** band! He’ll be representing zydeco with 2 songs, to help celebrate the festivals 50th anniversary! This festival has single handedly changed the game for rural Creole artists in Louisiana. No doubt. Hard stop. Terrance included.
Furthermore, there is not another event in the state of Louisiana that has attracted so many serious music lovers from around the world and exposed them to all the best in Louisiana music. It has shined a light on and featured zydeco music & its artists alongside other popular music genres as well as New Orleans music & its legends like the late Allen Toussaint, The Neville Brothers, the meters, Terence Blanchard, Dr. John, Irma Thomas and Kermit Ruffins to name a few.
Quint Davis thoughtfully curates his festival and has also placed Terrance and his band mates on stages in front of audiences who came for Santana, Phish, Ozomatli, Better Than Ezra, Marcia Ball, Ziggy Marley, Shawn Colvin, Del McCoury, Third World, etc., always mindful to introduce his festival audience to all the great music genres that has made Louisiana & Nola, the music mecca that it is.
Finally, Terrance is forever grateful for his 34th consecutive Nola Jazzfest performance and he shows his gratitude by also being an annual donor to the Foundation for the work they do the other 350 days of the year!
