National Museum of African American Music – Nashville

This aired pre pandemic, during Black History Month, Februart 17, 2020.

Due to our efforts – well, Cynthia’s! – zydeco is represented there! Yep, she pestered them for about a year, got through and it was a no brainer to the smart curatorial staff who enlisted her assistance to create the small but mighty exhibit;

Queen Ida’s Hohner Accordion, Reggie Dural’s rubboard (Buckwheat Zydeco’s son), a handmade commissioned Creole Flag and Terrance’s West African Fulani hat.

Done and done! Now, let’s sit back patiently until this pandemic allows us to safely visit this 60 million dollar, 56,000 square foot state of the art facility.

Big congrats to the founders. We are proud to be part of the African American musical identity of this country.
